For the Strength of Youth Pamphlet
The For the Strength of Youth pamphlet was the most defining religious text (other than the Book of Mormon) of my teenage years. It outlined in detail the standards a Mormon Youth was expected to uphold.
My dad conducted a one-on-one “Personal Priesthood Interview” (PPI) with me about once a month in my teenage years to ensure my cleanliness and worthiness. The 1990 and then 2001 For Strength of Youth pamphlets contained the church standards which I was measured against.
I took the standards outlined in the pamphlet very seriously. True to the Faith, a Hymn youth often sing at church meetings. Have a listen as you read through the pages of the For Strength of Youth Pamphlets below.
